I like to think that I am a well presented organized person, a very good communicator at all levels with a good sense of humour.
I am familiar with the use of both PC's and Apple Mac's. At my present Artwork / Design position I am using a desktop PC whilst using an apple G4 at home. I am well experienced and fluent with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator 10, Quark express, Dreamweaver and Indesign CS2, which are the packages that I mainly use day in day out. I also use Microsoft Word, Publisher and Powerpoint on a regular basis (as that is the format many customers supply most of their artwork in).
I have also started to teach myself Dreamweaver, Fireworks and Flash, mainly because many jobs available these days seem to say 'web knowledge is a bonus'!
I think personally that my strengths in the industry would be more towards the 'Artworking' side rather than the 'design' side. My career ambition is to work in London, which is always something that I have wanted to do since my university days. I now feel that i have learnt enough technical skills in the industry to now progress and try to fulfill my ambition.
Football has always been my main hobby, I have played at a reasonably high standard since I was 10 years old, including Basingstoke FC, county level – Hampshire, and Southampton youth FC. I also spend my time coaching football, swimming, jogging and working out at the gym when I can. Photography has been a massive interest of mine, especially within the past five years, where I have invested time and money in equipment to raise the standard of my images. I like to use imagery in my design work where possible and it gives me a great satisfaction to use my own photos.
