Printwise
Working with a wide range of packages, from Illustrator, Photoshop, Freehand, Indesign CS & CS2, Quark, Pagemaker, Publisher, Dreamweaver, Fireworks and Adobe Acrobat Professional. I finished my Graphic Design HND with a Merit in 2003 and since then have worked continuously as a part time freelance designer (whilst working full time with a leisure company) with small local companies, creating logo's and designing company stationery and small websites. I started my full time post with Printwise back in November 2005 as an Artworker / designer. My work mainly consists of creating new artwork and getting colour and black artwork ready for Litho printing, which has given me a great understanding of how the four colour process is achieved. The main type of work coming through the door of this commercial printing company are small local booklets, colour brochures, stationery and designing new logo's, leaflets and flyers. I also feel I can offer good advice and solutions for different clients.

At this company I was coaching children part – time for almost ten years and held this full time job from September 2003 up until November 2005. My responsibilities included: teaching sports to pupils in various schools; jointly managing a fitness studio / gym; after school sports coaching sessions; designing posters, newsletters and all stationery for the company and preparing/getting ready for print.

This was a job I had previous to leaving for university. I was helping to design and produce posters, letterheads, business cards, and other stationery. This was a full time job, which gave me good background knowledge of print and design, getting files ready for printing on either an Indigo machine or a GTO.
